Skin tightening with shorter smooth threads allow collagen production thus tightening the skin. Great option to treat crepiness, sagging, dulln or sun damaged skin. By placing these threads superficially under the skin allows for the area to get tighter. If placed deeper it essentially works like botox to relax the muscle. Most common ares treated under eye, neck, sub mental , cheeks, smokers line and even décolletage.
Place a hammock in the submental for tightening of skin with both barbed threads and smooth threads.
Later eyebrow lift with barbed threads to open the eyes.
Usually, PDO threads are dissolvable threads thus last about 12-18 months. Though as they are dissolving they promotion collagen production which in turn causes volumization of the area and leave behind a more rejuvenated skin.

As long as you wait 12-18 months before doing any elective surgical lift in the area then you should not have any issues.
Threads can migrate or break though happens rarely sometimes the tip will not hook on to the skin. If you do not follow the post procedure instruction the chances of dislodging or unlatching are higher.
Usually PDO treads cannot be removed after a certain time because they integrate with your tissues.
